About Construction Technology/Carpentry

The Construction Technology/Carpentry Program provides students with an introduction to construction safety, tools, math, and blueprint reading as well as basic carpentry, electrical, masonry, and plumbing skills.  Specialization during the second-year course consists of an in-depth study of foundations; wall and ceiling framing, room framing, windows and doors; and stair layout.
